well i have really curly hair to the point were the curls are really tight, but I would straighten it in small section and get as close to making the rots straight as possible without going over it to the point where its burnt I hoped this helped and i usually subsitute pressing oil with a light weight grease or a sheen spray like '; Pink ';

get a ceramic flat iron and some kind of hair holder. you gotta buy something. cuz ur 10 fingers and ur palm cant straighten it alone.
