Why comes black peoples hair grows slower than white people?

It doesn't always...people of all races have hair that grow slow. Because of black people's unique curl pattern it appears that their hair grows slower but the real reason their hair is usually short is because they tear it out when they're combing. Care must be taken that it's moisturized and combed gently-and brushes are usually bad too. I think the biggest reason most don't know these things is because of the old wives tales and stuff that are still around today about hair.

hair texture and length are hereditary however, growth can be enhanced by proper diet, hair nourishment and cleanliness. don't expect short hair to miraculously grow down your back if its not in your dna.Why comes black peoples hair grows slower than white people?
It really doesn't. It grows at the same rate but appears to grow much slower because of the curl pattern. I guess you could say it takes the scenic route to length
Ethnic Hair does not grow any slower than anyone elses. It all has to do with your DNA, products you use as well as the frequency of the trims you receive to contribute to your hair growth.

genetics creates many differences in people but it is not necessarily white or black - my hair grows really slow whilemy sisters grows quickly - we are obviously both of the same race

I have not cut my hair (Besides a trim every now and then) in 12 years and it doesnt even reach my butt yet, and I am white. My nails grow really slow, too. Its genetics and diet.

Black folks come, orginaly, for a very hot place on Earth...Africa. So they don't want much hair...after generation of living there, the body adapts to not grow so much hair so fast. The same is true of all the ilsland peoples of the world, as well as central/south american natives.





White folks come from cold places, so need lot of hair
